He has perfected his style in over 85 classes, including Math class, English class, & Science class, just to name a few. His high school teachers appreciated his artwork so much that they put him in detention, where he perfected his skills even more.
In 9th grade he started drawing caricatures at Six Flags Astroworld in Houston TX, when his mother forced him to get a summer job. There he was trained to draw profile caricatures using calligraphy pens. After High School he opened a caricature booth on the Kemah Boardwalk, then another at the Marq-E Entertainment Mall. He now does custom & event caricatures at all types of events. He is a student and member of the ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists) were he won 2nd place for his live event caricatures in 2014, 2nd for his portfolio and also won the fastest caricaturist in the world. Mac owns Satirical Effect and Patti is the booking agent that does all the behind the scenes work for him and his team of artists. He loves using the talent God has given him to be used in this art form.
Mac has performed at all types of events, from cruise ships to backyard birthday parties, daycares to retirement centers. He has a caricature basics video for anyone wanting to learn. He participates in a weekly Caricature Contest on Facebook to sharpen his skills with others.
A few of his inspirations include Nate Kapnicky, Walter Toscano, Jan Op De Beek, Bruno Hamzagic, Mort Drucker, and Eric Goodwin.
